WAM numéro 1 est une publication artistique ancrée dans les événements coursiers de l’été 2024.
Ce n’est pas un retour en arrière, c’est une trace.
Une manière de rendre les gens fiers de ce qu’ils font – en montrant les choses comme elles ont été vécues : brutes, joyeuses, bordéliques, vraies.
Pensé en mettant l’humain au centre, WAM donne de l’espace à ce qu’on regarde trop peu : les liens, les gestes, les moments qui nous rassemblent.
WAM No.1 is an artistic publication rooted in the 2024 summer bike messenger events.
It’s not a look back — it’s a trace.
A way to make people proud of what they do, by showing things as they were lived: raw, joyful, messy, real.
With the human at the center, WAM makes space for what usually gets overlooked: the bonds, the gestures, the moments that hold us together.

Je n’ai pas cherché à résumer ni à figer. Juste à rendre, le plus sincèrement possible.

Not a summary. Not a monument. Just an honest attempt to give something back.
Ethos
Tout a commencé avec un petit appareil photo automatique.
Rien d’intrusif. Juste assez pour l’embarquer sur un vélo, suivre le mouvement, et voir ce qui se passe.
Je travaille en argentique.
Chaque film est développé à la main, chaque image regardée sur planche contact.
Viennent ensuite les tirages de lecture, réalisés en chambre noire, pour prendre le temps de voir, de comprendre.
C’est lent, oui. Et c’est ce qui me permet d’être fidèle à ce que j’ai vécu.
Il faut ensuite trier, assembler, choisir.
Non pas les plus belles images, mais celles qui disent quelque chose de vrai. C’est là que le récit se forme, que les liens apparaissent.
WAM est une narration.
Un regard qui s’est construit sur le terrain, en observant, en roulant, en parlant.
It all started with a point and shoot camera.
Nothing intrusive. Just light enough to carry on a bike, follow the flow, and see what happens.
I work with film.
Each roll is hand-developed, each frame first seen on contact sheets.
Then come the reading prints, made in the darkroom — a way to slow down, to really look, to understand.
It’s a slow process, yes. But that’s what allows me to stay true to what I experienced.
Then comes the sorting, the sequencing, the decisions.
Not about selecting the most beautiful images, but the ones that feel honest.
That’s where the story takes shape — where the connections begin to show.
WAM is a narrative.
A point of view shaped on the ground, through watching, riding, talking.
